This is why nobody should be allowed to hunt at night. Hopefully a lawsuit is launched against the shooter, as even if convicted, our legal system likely won't punish the shooter as severely as he should be punished.
Sunset 6:50 pm. RCMP called just after 7:30 pm. I'm thinking that there'd be time between the shot to figure things out/offer first aide and calling in. I have to wonder if the shot was fired after 7:20. Very unfortunate nonetheless.
It's hardly night hunting. The incident took place sometime after sundown but what time after sundown? Was it more than 30 minutes after sundown? .............or less than 30 minutes after sundown. The news article doesn't say........the media calling it night hunting doesn't make it night hunting (fake news).
While MB maintains a 30 min after sundown regulation it is noteworthy that BC allows 1 hour following sunset for hunting.
