Nice simple easy to understand presentation by a teacher no less. Been up and down that coastline many times, love the area, but was always listening at night for a change in the noise of the ocean. I was specifically looking at where the Cascadia transition zone is for Vancouver Island and it looks like the entire west part of it will suffer.

Fish the west side of VCI, central and north coast and have thought of and discussed often. When your basically sitting right on top of the plates it's not hard to find it very unnerving!! Now more so!!

Exactly. You see the models they present, how far 30', 15', 8' waves go inland. Looks like Victoria, Seattle will see 15' waves. Vancouver, Sidney, 8' wave. Nanaimo 6' wave. However Port Alberni, Uculet, Tofino, will be pummelled again, with 15-30' waves up the inlet. I imagine water would move fast, in the Inlet.

I understood from that video that Seattle will be more or less protected from a tsunami...

Partially (assume 9.0 earthquake), the model shows (changing colours for different heights wave). Red, yellow, blue, green.

Right, I thought be the time it came all the way into the sound, it had become a negligible wave. I must have missed something.

More updates. Good link on YouTube he offers feed throughout the world. Slippage on Vancouver Island (looking similar to Japan 1 year prior to 9.0 earthquake in 2011).
