Default Portable ice fishing hut tarp and plans

I have been searching for some time now for a tarp and plans for a build it yourself ice fishing hut. These huts are made from wood, have a 4x8 base, the seats on each side are formed from the 2 lids that open. You can easily fish 4 people in thes huts, they fit nicely into the back of a truck box, and only take a few minutes to assemble and tear down each use. The roof is made from a black tarp that is permanenlty attached. Any ideas where i can buy the tarp and construction plans? Hoping to get my girls into the sport and a warm area will help a lot!

we use the exact same one you are talking about. Will call my buddy in a bit and get the website for you. \they are out of medicine hat. You buy the tarp, and it comes with a set of plans for the base. It is fairly easy to build with a few tools. We made our own wood stove, which works real well and has a grill on top for fresh, hot lunches, suppers.

cheers,
alex

Here's the one I made.

I like the idea of the style you mentioned, and I designed one about 6 or 7 years ago, but I lost my AutoCAD file I had for drafting it.

I might be interested in doing up some plans for you (for free) if you want to incorporate what features you'd like.

I work for an architect, so I have access to drafting software fairly easily. I find that half the fun of these projects is planning them. I'd find it a fun little activity to design what you're looking for.

Default ice shack

Try Frank Gukert construction out of Medicine Hat, He sells the shacks prebuilt or just the kit.
