Default bedding action

Hey I am trying to sporterize and old 6.5 x 55 swede and am wondering how to go about bedding the action and chamber, or if I should do this. I have built a new stock out of walnut. The barrel floats, but I am not happy with the fit around the action and recoil lugs etc. and am wanting any info on how to bed it, what to use for material, where to get it, etc. Thanks so much

Hi, is the accuracy of your rifle that bad? If you shoot 1 MOA then I would not consider bedding the action.

Thanks, I don't think I could get that good of a group from it as is. I did not last time I shot it. However, I am also tweaking my handloads a bit to see if that helps. Just sort of looking at all the issues that could affect the guns accuracy.

I started this project a long time ago, however as I recall I got quite good accuracy out of the gun in its original state, ie.iron sights, military stock etc. So I think that if I do everything else right the barrel and all is in good shape
