Default Keeping your feet warm - Early Float Tube?

I was just wondering if any of you are using any artificial means of keeping your feet warm in neoprene booty waders? Are there any decent electric socks that are suitable? I've been considering the Thermo-Cell inserts, but they are not inexpensive. I've also heard of electric socks that motorcyclist use, but I've never actually seen them. I currently have an old style pair of electric socks that use D cell batteries, they are both big / awkward, and I'm not even sure if they work that well any more. I had them out on Saturday for the first time in years, I'm not sure they helped at all. Maybe the new styles out work a little better?

The warmest socks I have help, but it's only a matter of time before I need to get out of the water to warm my feet up. Just looking for ideas, if anyone cares to share.

Early season I put the "hot hands" warmers in the toes and a good pair of warm socks.

Thermacell is nice idea but lots of people say they are not reliable.
Have you tried toe warmers?
