Im wondering about weight distribution with the Tikka T3 lite. iv heard that if you don't have enough weight in the stock of the gun it will weigh down on the barrel causing it to be inaccurate. does the Tikka T3 lite have this problem?
I have a 22-250 and a 270 win in identical Tikka T3 stainless laminate and they both shoot very well off the bench, however as soon as I put the same Harris bipod hanging of the front with the legs up the 270 goes to crap and the 22-250 shoots better. Just saying! Then if you put the legs down they will shoot good if I do my part. Both guns were equipped in typical hunting situations with bullet sleeves and slings attached.
Forward weighted. but I dont know why it would affect accuracy. If you like a more center balanced rifle, add dense material in rear stock. Helps with recoil too.
I have 3 tikkas t3 and love them all the 30-06 I have kicked hard so I filled the stock with silicone and found it alot better and made the stock not sound so cheap/ hollow! Just went down to Home Depot and picked the a heavy one! I have a 270 wsm in a a7 and did the same thing love that gun I am getting under 1/2 moa with it!
