Ice Fishing Creston/Boswell Area?

Has anyone ever done any ice fishing around the Creston/Boswell area on Kootenay Lake in BC?

I'm going to be out there for a few days at the end of January and would love to get in some ice fishing if I can. I'm planning to check out Duck Lake one day, but would love to find a lake to target some BC rainbows another day.

Obviously not looking for anyone's secret lakes or anything, but I don't know much about the area so I thought I'd ask. Any places to safely fish Kootenay Lake from shore (I don't think it freezes)? Or smaller lakes in the area I'd never have heard of that would be worth checking out?
