Default Solo Elk Hunt!! First elk with a bow

Well, Last Friday after hours and hours in my stand this season I was finally able to connect with my first bow kill! I hadn't missed on an animal, just no chances of shooting. Left work early on the Friday, was in my stand and no more than an hour I called in 3 cows that come in together. 15 yard shot and it was all over. The most exciting hunt I have been on for sure! I saw them coming in from about 80 yards and came on a string to the call. They've been hanging around but never seemed to be there when I was hunting...story of my life. Aha.

Needless to say the freezer is full and the memory will be there forever! Again the most exhilarating hunt I have done. When it all comes together its just awesome. Had to take a field selfie...but then help came to load it up to get some more pictures.

Congratulations on a fine animal.

Good to know. I've considered throwing some on a couple arrows in the quiver. I love the razor tips so far but would like to pack a fixed for yoties and grouse
