Default Pinehurst boat ramp

Does anyone know what condition the ramp is at pinehurst, did they fix it when they extended the campsites?

It’s in rough shape. They tried to use a load of rock to fix it, but that was gone with the first truck that backed down there. Use caution putting your boat in if you plan on going, and I wouldn’t try with any low slung trailers.

was there on May 26,put boat in and out ,stay to left side of ramp when backing down ,right side not real good ,they have tried to fix it with large course gravel, not great, would not recommend putting a boat in with out a 4x4 vehicle for sure, but still lots of boats going in and out.

It is not in good shape.
They were not allowed to fix it at all until after the spawn though they did add some 6-8 inch rocks which like the other poster said quickly moved so was not much of a help.
Typical of large organizations with different budget divisions no one wants to spend the money out of their division. The longer term goal is that when the campsite is done they were planning on up grading the launch and making it wider when they turned the old campground into a day use area. This means one division does not want to spend money repairing some thing that will be shortly redone anyway and the other division does not want to spend their money early so we will all have to suffer until then.

Also FYI they are not extending the campsites but rather replacing them. The number of camping spots will be basically the same after as there was before. The old southern loop will be closed and left to return to a natural state and the Northern area will be changed to a parking lot and boat launching area.
