Default Fishing August in Rupert, first time!

I am possibly leaving my boat in Rupert after the July trip so will have room for 1 person. Since people commented last time, there is no smoking, no drinking on the boat and the cabin is rented so no smoking in it either. I hope to fish 5 days, have to be there on a weekday to pick up the boat. I have all gear and tackle. Pm if interested.

Just got confirmation from a buddy on the forum, we are definately going fishing in August! May was sure slow, I hope next week the weather smartens up because I am leaving Sunday for 2 weeks again.

Pics to follow if we have some luck.

Thanks guys, that the end of trips for me for this year.

The survey guy at the PRYC that interviewed us today said he has only seen 1 this season. A guide I talked to caught 3 yesterday .... he was 42 miles out to get them though.

That is really late.. Our first one always came around June 10. By now they should be around and your picking through them.

everything was 3 weeks behind last year too.

I am thinking I will hope for real flat water, go into Alaska and bring home a truckload of Halibut. 3 per day would be an amazing haul of white meat.
