Default 8x56 Mannlicher ammo

Yo!

A great friend has given me a funky little Mannlicher rifle in 8x56. I need a box of ammo to complete my good luck ... where could I find this ??? Been tough here in Lethbridge looking ... Thanks ..

You can try on-line sites like www.theammosource.com (aka SFRC) and tradeexcanada.com - both have 8mm Mauser ammunition listed.

Thanks for the concern and PM... I know that there is a difference ... I would have easily found the 8x57 in this one horse town ...

Cheers !

Is this the 8x56mm M-S or 8x56mmR?

The rifle is a 1908 Mannlicher Schoenauer ... the calibre is 8x56 mm. That is how it is listed ...

You'll probably need the proper clips to go with it.

The Greek Mannlicher uses clips the 1908 uses loose Ammo with an internal magazine with a rotary lifter
