Default Hunting black bear and wolves on Sask private land question

Can you shoot black bear and wolfs on private land if you have permission from the land owner like you can in AB?

Nope and especially less opportunity if you are non resident you can't even hunt Coyote. Read the regs it's easy to find the info. I own land there and I can't even hunt Wolf or Coyote.

Not like Alberta nope. Residents must purchase Wolf Tags they are 50$ and only
In certain zones. Bears you need to hunt the appropriate open season. Not open year round like Alberta for landowners in certain areas. Also I believe they want people to invest in fencing, guardian dogs, lamas, donkeys blah blah. They will provide up to 100$ towards a livestock guardian dog. Or you can hire a predadation specialist to assess the situation and take steps to eliminate the predator problem. Lol. Sask Crop Insurance website has a good information. You can hunt wild boar though. We don't have crops or livestock. Just strictly hunting land. All I can hunt is Bear and WT. But my Old Man, friends and Family can take full advantage.

I had a black bear come after 7 horses in Alberta and it ran them threw a fence i tilled it under then had to shoot 3 of the horses because of how bad the injuries were, i don't feel that wanting to protect my animals and property is grasping at straws when i am asking a question to some thing i do not know the answer to.

A farmer can protect livestock. A beekeeper can eliminate bear within a mile of hives. A conservation officer has to be notified in these circumstances.

I believe dgl1948 has it right as bears but new regs on wolves, or at least ammended. You are now allowed to purchase a wolf tag in most, if not all ' fringe ' forest zones. It's all in the new regulations book under ' new for 2017 ' but this of course is ' Residents only ' and even though the OP may own land here, if your not a resident then you can't shoot a wolf or for that matter even a coyote.
