No time like the present, Shawn.
Some great fishing right in Home Bay at this time of year...

I'm heading to Maligne later this week - probably won't make it much past Home Bay, as there's usually too much action going on there at this time of year to tear myself away!

Spent Thursday & Friday at Maligne. Some rain on Thursday, and non-stop rain on Friday. Caught both rainbows and brookies in Home Bay- still rainbows spawning in the river by the bridge.
Nice, healthy, broad-shouldered fish, with the largest about 3 lbs. We had a good time despite the miserable weather

loading up the Hobies

getting towed south!

average sized 'bow

Bob, I realy liked how you managed to get a couple of those pictures with the rod bent against the stunning scenery reflected off the water. Those pictures arent exactly a dime a dozen and you got a some real nice ones on that trip.

Loved the rest of the pics and the story but thought I'd let you know I noticed those ones in particular, excelent work.

Very nice, Thumper; I'm slightly (very) jealous!
Those Hobies look like pretty cool yaks...

Thanks, Cal; I appreciate that.
I honestly find it hard to concentrate on fishing up there; it is just spectacular every where you look!

WOW!! Words can't describe all your pictures and their beauty! I"m a huge fan of Jasper and have fished at many lakes and rivers in the Park including Maligne in my youth. Then life took over! But now that I'm retired I'm planning on going back, and your photos and stories convinced me that there is no time like the near future! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks a lot; glad you enjoyed it.
It's such an incredible setting to fish in, for sure.
Enjoy your retirement; be sure to take lots of pics to share with your fellow Outdoorsmen!

Many attempt to capture the majestic nature of the Rocky mountains and the fish that call them home; yet this thread encapsulates it quite well, just awesome. Looks like a really fantastic trip!
