Default Whitefish

So what is the popular fly or lure to use when the whitefish are rising? I was out this morning 6-8:30 before work targeting pike but the whitefish were rising all around me. It was amazing actually, so I am thinking I should be prepared for that next time.
So general question to everyone, what is your favorite presentation for rising whites?

All depends on whats landing on the water bug wise. Figure that out and it shouldn't be too hard.

i would suspect orange Acetate jig would work, and basic wireworm colors you would normally use through the ice. This weekend im trying San Juans, B.H. Prince, B.H. TNT P.T. <----hasnt let me down yet on any other species ive used them for

I am using whatever NDN brings me. If it don't catch whitefish probably catch some grass, shrubs or NDN himself!

Default decifer the code

forgive my ignorance as a very new fly fisherman, what does this stand for?
"B.H. TNT P.T."
I am looking up pics of these flys on the internet to see if I have them. I have a bunch of bead headed prince nymphs, but these others...

thanks, and I will be trying these saturday morning at the ol' fishing spot.

no worries man, i sometimes forget and shorten the names.

{ B.H. TNT P.T.} = bead head, TNT Pheasant Tail Nymph.. A member from the board (not sure if he has re-signed up yet) introduced me to these flys, and I've always likes the basic Pheasant tail for a all around go to fly, but this version has a bit of flash on the back, its a little darker, and the fish seem to love it. ive caught goldeye, rockies, atha-bows, brookies, browns, cutthroats, grayling, and perch on this fly, in many bodies of water. And if fish are hitting pheasant tails readily, it seems I can get them to bite even more with this version.

if the lake whites are biting in pigeon this sunday, i have faith in this fly, as it hasnt let me down and has saved me from skunks time and time again.
