318 moose, And the creek he fell into
Put an arrow into him at 40 yards when he came over to my (bad) cow call today. He ran about 80 yards and piled up in a creek.
Thanks to Henry and Tracy from Calgary, and their quads, who went completely out of their way to help me. Moose steaks comin your way

Danged things - EVERY TIME they get hit they seem to find water somehwere!!
Congrats on the bull!

Ain't that the truth. I was hoping it would go down in the clearing and roll over onto his back with his head up and his back legs down. . Not so much.
Thanks all. There would be moose tenderloin for thanksgiving dinner tomorrow if my wife wasn't already thawing out a turkey. Maybe she'll let me make a mooskey

Congrats on a fine moose. I was going to suggest breaking out the BBQ and throwing a tailgate party in the swamp until you could get the rest out Nicely done.....Marco

Nice Moose, Good Hunt...and for a change it sounds like a good time in the animals recovery, which is of course not always the case with 'swamp donky's'.

Thanks all.
I'd been putting in for another zone for 6 years and decided to add 318 as a second choice this year and got drawn. I'm thinking maybe my priority was right for 318. Either that or I just got lucky on the draw.
This bull's whole right side was bruised and gouged. I could completely bury my thumb with room to spare in one of the holes on his shoulder! Ouch! I would have liked to see the bull that kicked this bulls butt!
