Bonavista opened two days ago. Haven't had a chance yet to try it to see how thick it is but I'm guessing it has to be at least 10" for safety reasons.

Glenmore Reservoir / Bearspaw Dam would be the only ones. No ice fishing on Glenmore however, not sure about Bearspaw. All the community Lakes are private.

Carburn is not really a lake but the closest you'll get inside the limits. Otherwise, Ghost or Chestermere are the closest real lakes...but I'd bet people would disagree with me on Chesterslough .

Nice fish, now I know who to bug for help when I get tired of hand drilling! I might head out on Sunday to try it for a bit, I always wear green and black bibs, usually with an orange coat, so if you see me stop by for a chat. Were you using bait or artificials?
