Default don't forget your rubbers

a buddy took his kids out to herm. trout pond for the afternoon today so i popped out there to see how they were doing. i was wearing my snow boots and hadn't walked 6 feet onto the ice before each step had me sink in 8" of flood water under 5 inches of snow. the brand of boots i was wearing are not waterproof and in 5 min. my socks and felts were soaked. wouldun't be surprised if most if not all the lakes around edm. (north east and west) are all the same.
i was only there a short time and no fish were iced. ice about 8"thick.
