Default shack regerstry

i heard that we have to register our shacks now. my friend n i built a shack n wanna put it at sylvan. do we have to register it? or its optionnal?

There was talk last year that it could happen. Have not heard anything lately. My guess is they will come around and try to talk you into it. BEL

I heard the same about Sylvan Lake , the town was asking people to register their huts this year at the town office or Lacombe County office ?

I heard that at Sylvan Lake , the town was asking people to register thier huts this year . At the town office ?

It's not mandatory on sylvan lake, it's just the mayor wanting to test her authority. Do not register it on sylvan untill it's the law to register it.

I'd recommend going to any town meetings where this is up for discussion. Registering your shack could give town officials more rights to your property then you're willing to give up.

Such as the right to enter and/or remove the shack at officials discretion with or without your knowledge.
