Default Which camo clothing do you use most?

Realtree, Mossey oak, Natural gear, Advantage or other? I use both Mossey oak and Realtree and I like them both...but I fine Realtree more effective while out hunting.

Maybe your in the "other" bracket, if so what do you where? Blue jeans, blaze orange?

Any thoughts on the subject?

Default Camo

Predator.........I find Predator is more attuned to breakup, contrasting dark and light.....rather than replicating anotomically correct leaves and branches on a more or less dark theme.

Another vote for Predator. I just ordered another set yesterday, Green Deception. As of now, I have full sets of Spring Green, Fall Grey, Winter White, and now Green Deception. Good stuff, and decently priced. Heavily recommend it.

I have tested it out myself as well. See if you can find me...

What we would see (I am facing away with my head down)

What they will see

You can see my face really well, but look at the contrast!

Nothin beats original Mossy Oak Shadowgrass for waterfowl huntin.

Natgear Snow is my choice for coyote huntin.

Original Mossy Oak Break-up for Turkey huntin.

New Realtree ( ) Max-1 for bowhuntin Mulies. Would have bought Prairie ghost but they seem to have gone under. Too bad.

Don't wear camo for any other types of huntin- don't see the need and the clothing I like to wear doesn't come in camo... Good ole dark green and khaki seem to work fine.

I do like most of those military Digital Camo patterns... But I don't think camo is a priority for hunting big game animals that don't use their eyesight as a means of detecting predators. Can't count how many times I've froze and had deer, elk, moose, etc (upwind) look straight through me in my carharts and green fleece jacket.

RealTree Extra Green early in the season, Hardwoods later on and then Seclusion 3D Winter when the snow is on the ground.

Map Maker, give Dennis a call in Lethbridge, he is a great guy to deal with. The 1-800 number should be on the website.

I bought mine when I was living/visiting in the Peg..........have never mail ordered from them but they do a lot of mail order business.

Anything with my green and blaze vest for upland. Use Advantage max4 for waterfowl, which would seem to me to be the most camo sensitive activity I do. I'm not one for lots of different gear, so I'll just use the Advantage for my big game hunting too. I don't find it too bad in the woods in the fall. Better than nothing I think. I guess I'll find out if I'm wrong.

I have & continue to use a bunch of different stuff. But prefer the lighter colored stuff .

My least favorite, is any type of Mossy Oak. I havent seen one of their patterns that a person didnt look like a black blob anything past 20 feet, although I havent seen their "Waterfowl camo". In fact, I saw a guy using a big piece of fabric in a MO pattern, as a Deer blind. When we were about 30 feet away, it almost looked like a real dark curtain. I'm sad that the only pattern available (in Canada) in the Rivers West rain gear I got is in some sort of Mossy Oak.

I really like Predator, especially Fall brown in dead Grass (Antelope, Mule Deer etc.). Predator Fall grey works real good on the Sheep hills. And the Green is good for Bears, if your in a poplar tree & the leaves are out.

The Camo maker that keeps up on demand (and I would think has more available patterns than anyone else, is Bill Jordans Realtree/Advantage). This is what I wear more than anything. Any one of them work well for several different applications. The Max-4 HD is what I use in a Duck/Goose blind. The AP Grey works excellent in the Mountains, the AP Brown is good almost anyplace, and the Advantage "Classic" works everywhere I hunt.

I can say that I will be getting some of Kings outdoor world, stuff. Their Desert, Mountain & Snow Shadow stuff will be soon replacing some of my older worn out stuff.

My .02

Default Gotta love Ravenwear.

For early seaon when the leafs are still green I like skyline apparition, light colors that blend in pretty good with the poplars. Later in the year I wear Realtree hardwoods grey. The stuff I have is from Ravenwear in Caroline. Its a little pricey but man they make nice clothes and are great people to deal with.

I am trying to "train" myself to sit, wait and watch more this year. I get itchy feet quickly and after a few minutes of sitting or standing still I have to check what is over the next rise. Kinda of hard for the camo to be effective when I am tromping through the bush.

I have some Advantage Timber that I got from Cabela's a few years ago. I find that sitting still seems to matter more than the camo pattern.
