Find out by Christensen Arms who they deal with and there maybe a demo in one of the store, in Canada like I said if your lucky.I won't mention stores that don't sponsor this site,so it's up to you to look around.
Cheers

Sylvestres in Bonnyville has a bunch of Christensens on hand. I doubt you can shoot them, but you can handle them. From all accounts, and my personal expirience they are very accurate rifles, one of the best out of the box rifles I’ve ever owned.

Lots of good advice here... More questions, but .300 Win Mag is a solid way to go.
I have one for sale if you decide to go that way, Sako A7 with a Corlanes 3 port brake and a Limbsaver recoil pad. Shoots extremely well. Selling it to build a custom because I keep modifying my schidt 😂

no one mentioned the 300 Dakota
or the 300 saum
with the 300saum I push out 165 grn noslers at 3198 fps with 65.2 grns of RL17
low recoil as well very much like a 308 win for recoil

That’s a good combination and should work well! A buddy of mine has the same rifle in 6.5creedmoor that he takes into the mountains. Granted he adds a a bit of weight to the set up with his thunderbeast out front...looks pretty sweet and so far the mule deer haven’t caught on...

I really enjoy my .300 SAUM, it will drop elk and you can poke 1000 easily with it. I bought a 7mm SAUM in Sendero recently to make a dedicated long range rifle.
My 300 SAUM I put back into a 700 BDL stock and that’s where it will stay for its life, unless I get a wild cat stock for it one day but not likely. My .300 I’m saving up for a VX-5 HD 2-10x42 CDS-ZL2 Leupold.

Haha yeah I agree with homesteader on this one. My 300 SAUM kicks a tad more then a .308, I guess the recoil ain’t that bad it’s more the muzzle lift, I plan on getting a radial brake installed on mine.
