To be fair, I think the benchrest shooters are looking for that type of accuracy a bit beyond 25 yards.

I guess people just think you have a pretty good idea what one hole looks like.....

Very nice groups for a sporter rifle. Would not be competitive in competition but that isn't what these are bought for. Will work great for thumping gophers or barking the heads off of grouse. Can't wait till the LH ones show up.

Default Tikka TX1

Bought it for a gopher gun. A couple of buddies are chomping at the bit for one, but so far, they are hard to come by.

Default Tikka 17 HMR (50 & 100 yard groups)

https://photos.app.goo.gl/hP8QNmrCjfA77s1n6

The single 10 shot group was shot at 50 yards in the wind after initial sight in. The second two groups of 10 were shot at 100 yards (scope was adjusted between each 10 shot string) while I was waiting for my 6.5 to cool off. I have only tried one type of ammo so far, and just have a basic 3-9 Bushnell Elite mounted for now. Not going to win any awards but I would hate to be a gopher

Quit yarding his chain, you know damn well no 22 RF comes with a 17 grain bullet so it obviously has to be a 17 HMR as they don't come in 17 HH or WSMR.

He states a few posts above that it’s 17hmr is 17 grain is probably correct as well.

As a matter of fact it was an honest question!

He never mentioned whether it was a 17 or a 22 and I’m interested in buying a T1X, most reports of which I’ve seen seem to suggest the 17 for some reason is more accurate but it’s a 22 I’m interested in so I was hoping it was an error in grains not caliber.

Thanks for answering his question though...

Yes 17hmr. Nice smooth action. Went 37 out of 40 on gophers with test of that box of ammo.

That’s awesome. Did you know that it has the same stock as the t3? A guy could drop one in a wildcat stock.....

The recoil pad on the rim fire is different but yes, they will accept the same stocks as the T3s ... both factory and aftermarket. Going to drop mine into a Bell and Carlson.

Some go to far--One guy put a number of shots with a 22lr in one hole at over 100m--Of course you will never see any pictures, its just not true.
