Sounds like air/fuel mixture needs to be adjusted.

got the same problem, Ive got the white lightning and can't seem to figure out where those screws are, I can get it to work but only if the choke is open just to the right spot, all help would be beneficial

Be absolute sure it is the fuel air mixture before you reset it. If not it's like turning up the radio to drown out the nasty engine noise in your car. Be sure to check air filters, plugs, clogged exhaust, transmission lube and free play and possibly bad fuel....and to be sure...get rid of and get a good brand....that fixed my jiffy issues for good last year!

Near the carb. Some have a plastic cover on them (my stealth did). I removed the covers and the air/fuel mixture screws were exposed. I made my adjustments and it worked great ever since.

Default jiffy

I had the same problem with my jiffy 30. I poured out the gas and started new, make sure u mix exactly as required. I started it and let it run get all the good gas in and adjust the air intake, the screw on the top of fuel tank. Maybe u have tried this already.......good luck! hope u find the problem and fix it so u can get out there and fish.
