Default Banff Bow River Trout Fishing?

Hey guys have any of ye fished the river in or around Banff town at the bridge above the fall or below it? much of population of trout around there?

Would the mepps be a good lure to use?

Any advice would be great as I am up in Banff quite a bit as I have a few mates who live there.(they don't fish anyway)

Mepps will catch fish.

Try and find some deeper holes. ~2m

I run a 60cm mono leader with one or 2 pea sized split shot on the end of the leader opposite the spinner.

Retrieve with the current near the bottom.

I don't know how it fishes in the winter...may be frozen...but this method does catch fish.
