I'm heading out with a fellow trapper to run his line up in the Caribou mountains. Tells me it's close to 300km round trip on snowmobile. See what i can shoot with my camera! I'm hoping to find some more old cabins.

This was the best 7 days on the line for Snareman and I. 2015/16 coyote season is in the books with 343 coyotes and a handful of foxes .

Default Final Offering of 2015/16

Well, I pulled almost all my gear a few days ago (left 6 up to catch one more yote for a nice even 100), and will be making a run into the depot tomorrow with my final furs of this season. I still have 10 more on boards, but think I will try hanging onto them until the first sale next year just for the heck of it. Never done that, but I got the space for 10 in the freezer so figured why not. Been a good year, 99 yotes, 1 fisher that F&W let me keep, a few dozen rats with the kid and a dozen beavers. Anyway, here is the last of the season for me....already cant wait for next year! Gonna get the # of the one 3rd from the bottom in the pic and track that one, have a feeling it's a good one, lol.

Congrats Pcp and Frank sounds like you guys had a good season. You came close to your goals and that's good! If you meet your goal every year you're not setting the bar high enough!

Tomcat while I'm not positive my guess is Jack = Rabbit?

Damn and here I've been anxiously awaiting pictures of a snared jackalope, he lives in the right area, hahahahaha!

Congrats on the season Peter and thanks for the guidance with footholding, doubt I would have had much for success in that endeavor without it!

I highly doubt that 300 you catch yote's,just gotta jump right in there and do it,learn from your experiences, that's what makes a good well rounded Trapper and Outdoorsman IMO

Well I pulled the last of my remaining Rams today. I finished the season with 90 coyotes in three months. I had a reasonably good season, I feel I could have caught more with a bit more effort and getting a late start really affected my numbers I believe.

I'm still trapping a few beaver and my wife is already asking when beaver season ends lol. I'll give it a couple more weeks and shut everything down and relax a little bit I think!

Some pics from a while ago when i went out with an other trapper to clean up his line up in the Caribou mtns. Took us 3 days and 340km round trip, hundreds of miles of pure wilderness. Took down 190 sets and ended the year with 110 marten.
This cabin is 130 kms from the nearest road, quite a ride!
Had a weasel come steal what ever he could, frozen squirrels as well.
