Default CITES permits

It's most likely alittle to late for this question but it has been bugging me, I'm going on a guided hunt to Alaska for grizzly, caribou I know I need a CITES permit to bring the bear back. My outfitter says don't worry the expeditor will take of it and ship it to the taxidermist cause the permit will take 2 months to get.
I have also talked to a U.S. fish and wildlife person and they said everything can be done in 2 hours and my buddy and I can head back to Canada

Anyone else have experience with theses permits. I want to know what the shipping will roughly be?

Thanks CN

When I moved to the U.S. I had to get CITIES to bring some of my taxidermy down. It took weeks to get the permits. Not sure what it would be like if it was just hunted though.
