Default Fishing near Ft. Mac

Will be in the ft. mac area the next couple of weeks. any suggestions on where a guy can catch a few fish from shore???

your best bet is fishing the athabasca river by the water treatment plant by the bridges in town or the mouth of the poplar creek and athabasca, you will have to take a quad or walk the 2km to the mouth though.

There are also a few trout ponds, two on highway 69 (airport), take a right at the auto wreckers sign to get to the better one. And one on 63 about 10km south on the right hand side with small rainbows and perch.

where scrub suggested is ur best bet for quality and variety of fish.

but after opeing weekend here should be able to catch as many small pike as you want at gregoire lake. witth the odd walleye in there.

ussaly easy to catch from shore all season long
