Default Fishing near Caroline

Hey guys,

Heading up to Caroline tonight for the weekend. Any good shore fishing? I've fished in one of the rivers(if you can call it that, more of a creek) near there a few times (cant remember what its called, but it has a tree canopy and we were fly fishing with waders). Looking for somewhere we can fish with spinning gear and preferably with bait. 20-25 minute drive at most would be great and the smaller the lake/pond the better.

Awesome, Tay and Alford look like they key ones to hit. Appreciate it!
