438 Sheep
Wife drew a 438 sheep tag for the Nov 11 to 20 timeframe. Anyone with any tips, information or help would be greatly appreciated. Will be her first sheep hunt. Any guide recommendations as I may explore that path. Are there any good maps/google earth files that show the portion of 438 that we can hunt?

Congrats on the tag , my advice is get out there and learn the area now, download the mine boundary maps and learn them by heart, get in shape and prepare yourselfs mentally , November can be a brutal experience in there, prepare for super long days. Good luck

Without any Americans coming up for rams, should be some good prices on outfitters to guide Canadians. Would very much look at that route. There is no way that border is opening and IF anyone sees Americans out there hunting using the "I'm driving to Alaska trick", that outfitter should lose their allocation and be charged smuggling illegal aliens into the country.

Wife drew the same tag in 2010. Shoot me a PM if you want to chat about what I learned back then. Been a long time ago so I'm sure a lot has changed with sheep numbers, herd health, wolves/grizz sign, etc but can give you some guidance.
She passed a ram on opening morning at 1030, missed a beautiful 175+ ram on the 4th day and killed a ram on the 5th day.

Definetly not what it use to be but its still a very coveted tag. Ive been chatting to some people who know this hunt very well and have got some great info that has me confident we will get a chance at a ram.
