Default Southerm Alberta Sturgeon guide

The lady and I want to get her dad and mine out this summer for a fathers day gift. Neither has ever caught one and Wwe would love to get out to the Fraser with them but that is a lot more expensive and difficult to coordinate then a day close to home with a guide and boat. Can anyone recommend an outfit here in Southern Alberta? A few have come up on google but would prefer some personal experiences/stories/recommendations.

Default Sturgeon

I camped at Frazer cove campground and caught them from shore. Problem was that from shore we could only control fish up to about 6.5 ft. Anything bigger are to strong and you need a boat to follow them. The river is not for a inexperienced boaters. There is a rental cabin at the campground and they rent rods also but there is a big deposit required. Frazer cove is right across the river from Lillooet.---spelling ?

Default Sturgeon

At Frazer cove I caught 12-15 per day. I have 150 lb line which was a problem because I caught a bigger one and could not hold it. I had to hang on to some saskatoon bushes or it was taking me or my rod before the line finally broke.
A 100 lb. line that you can break off is safer. We use a railroad spike as a weight to hold the bait in the current.

X3 for Brent at Alberta Sturgeon Fishing Adventures. Fished with him a few times years ago. Great time and knowledgeable guy.
