Default Diesel Prices going up

Look out dsl prices are going to sky rocket. Bulk diesel prices are going up as much as 11 cents. Not sure what pump prices are doing in the city but UFA's bulk prices are changing effective midnight.

Harvest time and fieldwork is around the corner, happens all the time! Shortage of petro??? ..... I don't think so!! Just another money grab. Sad thing is even if it doubled in price the motors still got to run.

I run my own bulk station and was told by my suppliers that it is a "market correction". No shortages or anything else, basically just because they felt like it. Rack prices jumped almost 10 cents on Thursday and another 3.5 on Friday.

Could someone explain to me how the hell a 61.29 cent per imperial gallon increase in pricing is a market correction???? I'm gettin' friggin' tired of increasin' my rates and pleadin' poverty to my customers.

I was just down in Michigan for 9 days and the diesel prices went from 10 cents below gas to 10 cents above gas in that weeks span last week.

What I find simply amazing is that if Safeways, Sobeys, Costco, Superstore and Extra Foods all marked their prices on a jar of instant coffee to exactly within 1/10 of a cent on the exact same day they would end up in court charged with offences under the Combines Act so fast it would make your head spin.

And yet oil companies can do it with impunity.

Which leads me to believe that the silent partner with ALL the oil companies is the one deciding on the price increases. Government. They profit from price increases very well and it is an easy way to raise funds to meet shortfalls and best of all someone else takes the blame.
Regards,
Dave.

Default High prices

Hey I just finished a trip to Alaska via BC, and Yukon of course. Fort Nelson diesel was 1.549 at husky. Between there and Watson lake a place called toad river was 1.709 a liter. Average price through Yukon was 1.40. Into Alaska around 4.00 a gallon... Despite fuel prices trip was awesome!!

1.32 here in Radium when i fiiled up with diesel. Gas is 1.31/L Cant wait to hear the refineries are down and there are shortages again come hunting season. Two yrs in a row you had to be careful where you go due to town stations being dry. That had to suck for the truckers having to wait for a bulk station to get fuel or be limited to so many litres before they could continue. Really sucks they can call it a correction and get away with it.
