I got an email from a previous bamboo rod customer asking me if I had the 4 wt still in stock.
You bet, I say. I’ll take it he says. Now as I was going fishing Wednesday he planned to come Thursday morning.
On opening my email Thursday morning there was a note explaining that a rod bearing my name had been found on the south Ram and whether I could tell them the owner. After breakfast I headed to the shop to dig through my receipts and build list. Just then the fellow who wanted the 4 weight called. He says you going to be home, I’ll drop by.
And I told him what I was doing. There was a long pause and he says I lost one of your rods on the South Ram. His extra tip serial number matched and he’ll get his rod, reel and line back.
The fellow who found it is Irish and he recognized my name and the fly (CFF) that was still attached.
There are fine folks in the FF community.

And yes there certainly are.....and three of those fine folk ( The rod builder, the fellow that lost the rod and the rod finder) should get together for a brew!
