Often, when I'm standing in line at a store, people around me are irritated or impatient, etc., but I usually consider it one of the few times I get to relax and just hang out.
Lot's of questions lately about site status, but the replies have been consistent, the site tech is working on it. The term 'crashing' is derogatory and implies being out of control, as opposed to trying different configurations and switches.
Personally, been there, done that. It's a huge learning process and particularly frustrating when the audience is impatient.
I give Rob kudos for his efforts. He may look back to say, pee on that (as I have), but it's a great character builder.
One thing that might help though, is a sticky for site status, so the addicted aren't stressed.

You are supposed to search the site for the answer. Your gonna be in trouble for asking that question.
