Well I think we are going to be doing the same thing as you tonight lol, We just warmed up the generator ourselves. And I believe we are going to be near the bridge tonight as the canal was slow last time I went.

Well wife wants the van close so she can laydown and do the DVD thing and sleep when she gets tired if fishing so I think we will keep it to the launch or the canal.

Personally I'd do the launch. I "hear" it was good last night.

I am shooting for ling But there will be a few eyes mixed in there I am sure. We do use a glow jig sometimes but Not allways. The sound and smell of the bait are all the Burbs need to find your hook

Personally I'd do the launch. I "hear" it was good last night.

Works for me thats where I will be.

was there last night was there friday night with nate. Had lots of action both nights. A little less last night cause we were screwing around with our gear lots.... and someone was playing solitare while they were getting bites..... Last night was the same as nate reported last week. action was about 25-28 feet then the bite slowed, moved into about 18-22 feet and the bite picked up again. The walters were light bighting once it went dark and you had to feed them lots of line before hook set.

we had a good mix of burb and walleye. Actually i didnt notice this till she said something but the girlfriend didnt get a walleye till later into the night and i had already had about 10 eyes. she got nothin but burbs for first part of the night.

I found burbot hate full moon for some reason. If it is cloudy and you can't see anything - great, if it is snow or rain or any kind of crappy weather - even better.

Not at PCR. Anything works, anything goes, always lots of bites. Just unfortunately nothing big.

Hey JTS,

Try and position yourself in the 15-18 feet of water mark out in front of where the dock is just to the right of the launch.

This way when the fish start moving shallow you will be right on top of them for the later bite.

Use a glow jig and recharge every 15 minutes or so and it should help you out with bites. Also try using whole minnows in different sizes until you find what size they are looking to target the best.

Good luck out there.

Nate

I seem to recall last winter when a bunch of us were out, that you couldn't get any ling then either . At least the Walters were around.

Right after Christmas when we were close to the limit on burbots I tried turkey and ham for bait (from my sandwich)- both worked great. If they are biting - anything works

reason i ask is i know the locals around Travers never fish ling on full moon cycles, they say its too hit and miss.
i was curious if the ling and all the other fish in PC were so hungry they ignore normal instincts.
catching walleye in the dark in the winter is fairly usual but generally for only the first 2-3 hours into first darkness.
interesting stuff

so i was thinking about it and i have dragged my gf out fishing once this week already and she only wanted to stay until 9 and we ended up staying until midnight. not to mentioned i ditched her for fishing last weekend. plus she has had a rough week so i figured instead of taking off fishing friday night that i would take her out dancing or just hit a local pub for drinks most likely both. then i get a text message that said " fishing tomorrow night". for clarification, i asked her if she was asking if we could go fishing. she said yes. I kept my mouth shut about taking her out and said "sure where do you want to go". I think i scored a victory there.

Anyways, she just said she wants to go somewhere where she can catch lots of fish.... well the best potential of that is PCR. plus it will be a setting sun by the time we anywhere anyways so night bite it is. We will be out in the blue tent again. Anyone else gonna be out or is everyone all geared up for sat at CV
