the stuff at that shop sucks. save your money and shop elsewhere....

are you kidding? Best shop in town by far. David is a stand up guy and runs a professional shop.

but the rod blanks they sell are junk

There are cheap and expensive blanks, you get what you pay for. Components could be a bit cheaper but hey, dude has to make a living. I like to see and touch things before i buy them, this shop makes it happen.

Best shop I've had the pleasure to deal with. taken 2 courses there, know the staff by name and most know me, and have never had a problem with service. I wish they had a better selection of blanks, but they are willing to order stuff for you any time without hassle.

I love Fish Tales.

Don't forget to post the rod you build. Love rod building, hoping to do a couple this winter plus some bamboo refinishing.
