I found some cheap floating Raps on eBay last fall. Some are deals and some aren't so be careful on there if you use it. Remember the shipping costs. I got mine for 2 for 1 with purchase and shipping.

When I was your age I started out slowly aquiring floaters. Still have them and use them.

You too. I'll be focusing on my fly fishing this year, so I'm pretty certain it will be less productive than most.

There are some Rapala knockoffs at the counter at Wholesale Sports, $2.99 but they feel too light to me. What are you wanting precisely?

Often times on ebay you'll find tackle boxes full of lures as well. When I was young I just used spoons and spinners because they were cheap and very effective. Still use them more than cranks.

And don't forget, you can always make your own BottleCap lures...

There's a video talking about them - they are supposed to be surprisingly effective...

Not bad for the price of a pack of snap swivels, some trebles, some split rings, and of course some delicious cold beer, you can have a whole bunch of lures!

Because at pro bass shop, there are other things that are good but only half the price.
The flicka shad is a good crank, not too expensive.
Also the tail dancers are a hard woobling crank, lots of strikes.

I find that there is no better bang for the buck Rapala than the origional rattlin rapalas. A 2'' version costs about $5 while a 3.75'' version costs about $6.00 at wholesale sports. I find rattlin raplas to be epic for catching walleye and even great at catching pike. I have also seen some pretty big char chase those plugs as well. I have tried more pricy Rapals and have found that they didn't catch as much walleye as the rattlers.

hmmmm I have over 2000 bottle caps in a tu in my garage. I was gunna make a table top out of em then cover it with a piece of glass for the man cave... Perhaps I'll get the kidlets to make their own fish hooks.

The green one on the left may work good for walleye as well because it looks like the colour pattern imitates a perch fairly well.
