Basically nothing so far as the government is concerned, though reading them and seeing the results can sometimes sway people one way or another.

Nothing when the results go against what the media or group that put it up expect. Right now 64% against.

If it was 64% for then it would be referenced.

I watched the news at 6 and there was no mention of the poll. If they get the reaction they want, then they make a big deal about it!
