I don't but maybe I should. Any excuse to eat turkey is a good excuse.

This family normally celebrates big in October for Thanksgiving and again in November for Thanksgiving BUT this year the Bat got sick.....so the turkey came out of the freezer - was out for a few hours then after a quick board meeting went back in.

However all is not lost. There was a chunk of the October Turkey in the freezer and the Bat found some beef gravy frozen (don't ask me I just clean and defrost the freezers I am sure Keg River made that stuff and froze it..........LOL).

So thawing that and some shaggymane mushrooms, will cook up some spuds and put on a bit of a supper. Not as big as usual but head colds just don't lend themselves to urging the Bat to do a lot of cooking - besides she has to still get the freezer turned on to pickup Bullwinkle tomorrow.

No football in this family...........the Bat likes it but Keg looks at her like she is from a foreign country... AND since she cannot see the Washington Redskins she is ok - the 49er's are the second team she watches in support of son in the States (traitor that he is...)

AND by the way:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL HERE ON AO FROM OUR HOUSE TO YOURS

You blow off a vacation day to celebrate? I wouldn't bother.

Nope ... one Thanksgiving a year is enough for our family. We're Canadian, so ours happened last month (Oct. 8).

The next big 'do' for us is Christmas ... in our house, that one can go on for several days!

'Happy Thanksgiving' to our friends south 'o the border!
