I think this is right. I don't think there would be enough posts/traffic to warrant a seperate forum just for recipes. Just my opinion.

If you look on Gunnutz, they have it broken into species catagories that pare it down to a useable amount.
I like the idea. Lots of great recipies that aren't in the books.
Just make it a sticky or it will fill up with comments and user tidbits and become unusable.

Rob is away until sometime in Dec. I do know that we won't be adding anymore forums. A recipe sticky might be a possibility, but I can't ask Rob until he is back.

How would it work if someone started a thread named RECIPES - and the first post to it could be - please no comments - as this is a recipe sharing thread. Members could email each other if they have questions about a recipe someone posted to the thread or with questions about the recipe posted.

Just a thought. I can see where they might not want to start a whole new forum.

So now we are down to should there be a thread for Wild Game Recipes and one for Fish (or whatever class those silly things are) -

I think you know what I mean OH one for Birds/Fowl (whatever they are supposed to be called)

These are just questions on my part but I like the idea of being able to come here and find the Wild Game Recipe Thread/ Fowl Thread/ Fish (whatever) Thread

I am sure lots of you have plenty of good tips you can offer up newbies, such as myself to wild game cooking. We have one goulasch recipe that in my opinion is to die for - ask RedFrog or did he get the other dish I make with Elk? Cannot remember now.

Anyway I vote for Recipe Threads and by the Main Ingredient (meat name) would be very helpful.

Yes! Fish and game recipes are a major part of the whole package for me. I'd love to see a board or at the least a sticky for this.

Well, I hope a Recipe sub-forum is created. Huntinstuff's suggestion for a title would be excellent. BettyFrickinCrocker.

Don't include pics of fridges with the recipes.

Shore lunch is a Canadian tradition. Takes a certain skill set to use cast iron correctly. Lots of great recipes that are only good over the fire. Pass em on.

I for one eat everything I shoot, cept the targets. I'd love to have one place to go to look up recipes, a sticky would work, or a separate forum. I wouldn't use just a thread as it will pass from view too quickly. Great idea.
