Ah!! You best be stayin away from here now!! The fishin isnt worth a chit in the fall here. Never have been able to figure it out, I just know that its terrible.... Cant say for sure how either are looking right now Sheep. I would suspect you might catch the Kinbrook launch on Newell open, but the N marina frozen in. Crawling, the new launch would prob be froze, but the old one I would think should be wind swept enough to be open still.

Default Newell Launch

Stopped in at Kinbrook park on the way to Brooks today. The lake is still open, some slush at the launch but only a bit.

well the air temp was minus 10 today, so I wouldnt want to fall into the lake for sure. All the marsh ponds around the campground were frozen, does anyone know if there are fish in them? I want to get icefishing!!!!!!

Ohhhhhh man that looks COLD!

I would not want to be in a boat on that lake LOL.

I think you're running a pretty big risk to both man and machine to be on the water when the air temp is below 0. Not worth it, no matter how good the fishing is IHMO...

supposed to be minus 17 next Sunday, might want to pack an axe and an auger too when the wind picked up this afternoon I watched the puddles in the yard at work freeze over within 10 minutes, every ripple got shorter and shorter.
