I walked out to the edge and a piece of the edge broke off it was about 2-4 inches. Could be ready by this weekend but for sure next week. Didn't see any open water.

Default Chestermere

Hi 4D7,

How has the fishing been at chestermere? I wanted to go out there last winter and drill some holes but friends told me there wasn't much to go after in that lake.

Ice-Raft.

Last season we a blast we caught on the good days 15+ a person easy. I like fishing here because its super close to town and it has some wicked action. PM me if you want spot locations and tips on what to use. My girlfriend did manage a nice 73cm pike outta there biggest one i've seen come out.

Bow and burbs?! I know it used to have perch but any that are left must be few are far between as there are thousands of pike in there. Last year I probably averaged 50cm ones but I've seen a few +63cm pulled out before. I assumed there would be the odd bow and burb since it's attached to the bow but I've never really tried for them.

Yeah saw some dude pull out a rainbow during summer. A few guys have caught burbs but they said its rare. I had a nice size perch on my line last year but my second rod almost fell in the water so I ended up catching a fat pike. But I saw the perch come up close to the hole
