Had a little snow last night, just came back in from shoveling the driveway, man that will wake you up in a hurry

A balmy -32 here as well. The dogs weren't that keen to go out, and after a few minutes, when they came in they were walking funny on the frozen paws. The little weaklings....

Yup ice has been plenty thick for weeks here.

And it came on fast. Tested my floating blind on October 26, no ice in sight, went to test it again on October 29 and couldn't find any open water.

Not even on Lac Cardinal. it was 5 miles of smooth ice in every direction.

But we have almost two feet of snow now so it's probably not building very fast now.

Well it was like -33 outside and our house was at +13 when I woke up at 530am. Furnace quit in the night but being all snug in bed didnt notice till I got up. By the time the plumbing company rep got to our house at 8am it was down to 11. It was chilly by time furnace was up and running again.
