Default short barrel shotgun chokes

Do different choke tubes in a 12 gauge with a 14 inch barrel affect the pattern compared to a full length barrel? I recently got a defender that has changeable choke tubes and it just got me thinkin.

Yes even in a 14" barrel the chokes will affect the pattern.

Length will affect velocity and have some effect on the pattern.... as does any shotgun barrel. The real patterns will show up as you change chokes. Try each choke and pattern the shotgun. But yes the chokes will indeed work in a 14” barrel.
