Default Palm Springs Classic Car Auction

Went to the McCormicks Palm Springs Classic Car Auction this morning, they have just over 500 nice cars, trucks, motorcycles, farm tractors and a stretched limo up for auction this weekend what a treat. Check out the link.

Link …. https://www.classic-carauction.com/Auction-Cars

Off to get a cold one & back to the pool 82F/28C …. enjoying retirement.

Cheers

D.

This little Ford would make a nice golf cart, any guesses what it will sell for on the weekend?

Lot #261. 1965 SHELBY COBRA CONTINUATION CSX6024 - PERFECT 427 FORD FE ENGINE, MEGA HORSEPOWER, ALWAYS GARAGED. INCLUDES ORIGINAL SIGNED SHELBY MSO DOCUMENT. 6262 Miles.

My Zip-n’-Z was a black 70, this 1971 brought back a few memories.

I'll guess $160,000.00. Hard to tell with it being at auction....

Edit. Changing my guess, $105,000.00.

This is a pic from McCormick's website, gives you an idea of the auction site, much smaller than Barret Jackson in Scottsdale.

Featured Car's .... click here. https://www.classic-carauction.com/Featured-Cars

For the Farmers among us, my Dad may have owned one just like these.

Thanks for posting. That black '71 reminded me a lot of my black '72 SS high school car that I had in '87. Mine even had the same twin white stripes, though it had a poorly-laminated aftermarket cowl-induction hood.

My guess is the Shelby won't sell, no one will meet the hidden reserve. Will post an update when the auction is over & they post the sold prices.

Reeves ... I checked, didn't see a Pinto.

I would imagine in this market the high bid would be just a hair South of six figures. 90 - 95 on a good day with the right buyer.

Isn't the market down south halfways decent?

From what I have seen, it is a buyers market so in the classic iron prices are fair, not over inflated... Just my opinion, but I do have a dozen pieces in my collection.

Someone is getting greedy. Think that car sold for $85k in 2014. $100k is a very reasonable price.

1950 Ford 8N Who knew i had a $4500 garden tractor. Plows the garden like a champ. Repainted with a paintbrush, but runs like a boss
