Halifax Fishing

Anyone from the East here? I'm heading to Halifax for a week this weekend and I'm hoping to do some fishing! Can anyone share their experiences?

I seen them swimming right in the bay of Quinpool road there is a small park
also right across that bay Dingle Tower Park, there is also Point Pleasant Park seen the blue sharks right in there, we were on a pedal boat right in that bay and seen them coming to surface right by the boat it freaked me out when I've seen it first time I thought I was hallucinating lol, there is a small lake called Chocolate lake look up on google map, I've seen nice perch there..., Paper Mill lake in Bedford also nice perch...
Lots of small lakes that hold fish...

I'm looking at the Grand Lake charter. Looks good and flexible. Maybe I finally go bass fishing!

Lived in NS but never fished it.

Long lake out toward Rawdon. Used to be great. Fish the run where it flows into the Herbert River. May long a great time for decent Brookies.

So are you sticking to Halifax or getting out and seeing the beautiful province. I grew up in pictou county fished black brook and barneys river growing up, always good for brookies. Garloche lake was always good for rainbows... Enjoy the trip and good luck with your fishing.

Fishin Fever is a shop right in Halifax. They are good guys and will point you in the right direction. The Olands brewery is right across the street as well so you can get 2 birds stoned at once.

Went to check out Betterbuy and HiLiner today.... Betterbuy is like a washed up version of WSS buy HiLiner was interesting with mostly saltwater stuff. Nothing spectacular though.

i myself would love to jig for cod, is there a season so you could fish for them close by and maybe bring some home ?

Cast from shore. I used my spinning rod and caught a Gawh Gillion Mackeral. Silver spoons worked great.
