After that extended cold snap in Dec./Jan. I NEEDED to get outside and find some open water!! Managed to get out a few times last month and it was goood medicine 8) .
The water I chose contains Bulls averaging 6-8 lbs, so when you tag into one you KNOW it !! These fish know how to bend a rod and are strong enough to put your tackle to the test .
The water was crystal clear and the recipe was LARGE white clouser-type streamers. The fish were slow to move for a meal, so you had to get the presentation to the bottom FAST and drift it through their kitchen to induce a strike. After that the fish put up a fabulous fight, with great feel. I spent two days there and was able hook into enough nice Bullies to make the trip well worth it and the itch has been scratched, for now........
