It's been so long since I've got to use them, but I've got:

3 fly rods
3 baitcasters
5 spinning rods
a dozen or so ice rods
and 3 tip-ups.

Oh yeah, I have a Popeil Pocket Fisherman of which I am very proud....I love all the odd inventions and innovations the industry has spawned over the last 150 years.

Anyone with a Marmish rod? I have always wanted to try one, but the rare time that I see one, I always find something I want to spend my $40 on more.

I never tried this but my friend said he caught a small perch using

Long stick
Tooth floss
and Small hook with a worm on.

Does this count as a fishing rod?

I have 6 spinning rod/reels and 1 bait caster trolling combo in the boat. I think there is probably 8 misc spinning back up combos at home and 2 fly rods. The fly rods don't see nearly enough action for my likes.

The best rod by far, is a St Croix Avid jigging rod and the blue Pflueger reel.

I have a Marmish that I have had for a few years and used once. I just like using a normal ice rod and reel better so it sits in the pocket of my ice bibs on stand by.

I had totally forgotten that I had one of those . . . somewhere.

I'm not sure where it is . . . Somewhere in the house . . . I'm sure.

I seem to remember that mine is black and pink. And, that i was confused about how to load line on it.

fly rods- 2,3,5,8,12 weight
1 spey rod
3 downrigger rods
8 spinning rods, various lengths, uses.
10-12 spinning, baitcaster, spongebob, zebco, batman rods for my boys.
2 storage boxes of icefishing rods, tip ups,
1 crab trap
1 crawfish trap.
and 1 Marmish.

totals out at around 40-45 set ups. But I am the guy who outfits and most of our family fishing gear. It had been growing for 15+ years 3-4 rods a year most years.

Fishing gear attracts fishermen, not fish....

I got one last year and I really enjoy it. The sensitivity is incredible, works really well on perch. I can't wait to try it out at Sundance lake for Sundancefisher's next ice invite

I refuse to answer this question as it might be used against me in a court of law. If my wife found out the number fishing rods or how much I have invested in equipment my goose would be cooked. Lets just say its double digits.

I've use pretty basic gear. I have a nice flyrod, a basic rod for casting and trolling, etc., My wife has the same basic rod (in pink) and my ice fishing rods. Other than that I have a lot of odds and ends and old rods that my grandpa passed down that I never use. I am planning on putting some new line on his Salmon rod and trying to target those NSR stergeon some day. Since I am starting to think about the ice season, my favorite ice rod is the rapalla panfish popper from Canadian tire. It is so light that you need to play most fish which makes it very fun to use. With bows, perch and whites you need to play them a bit to land anything of size. If a pike or walleye hits you will really need to show your skills. Very sensitive (no strike indicator required)

3 trolling rods
1 fly rod
1 bait cast rod
5 spin rods
4 ice fishing rods

Ridiculous considering I use basically 1 of each. My wife thinks I am crazy too. Oh well, its only money, I'll make more tomorrow!

I have 10 rods but 3 of those aren't being used. I have only spent decent money on the fly rods. As my dad always says, the real catch in fishing is the fishermen. Oh well, I don't regret a cent and am loving my new 4wt for the little fish.

Worst part is that although I have not used a spinning/baitcasting rod and reel in years, I am still collecting reels and some rods...just picked up some Mitchell and Match reels a couple of weeks ago.
