Default Pics June/July

Hey guys, hope you're all havin' a great summer, gettin' out there and enjoying some fishing. I haven't been taking many pics lately, the fishing has been getting in the way, but here are a few from the last couple of months. Hope you enjoy.

We spent the last half of June and the first half of July on Vancouver Island this year. The western side of the island is pretty rugged country, with lots of little goat trails to explore in the Jeep like this one;

....and some of those goat trails lead to spots like this;

and this;

and sometimes right beside the highway there were some beautiful spots too.....

I caught small rainbows here, mostly sight fishing, what a blast!

A family friend who lives on the Island took me into this beauty of a cutthroat stream. Consistent surface action on smallish cutties, with the odd honker thrown in to keep it interesting. They just couldn't hold themselves back from SMASHING foam hoppers and stimulators 8-) .

Checked out a section of the river waaay upstream one day, gorgeous pools.

Cheers,

Ayr.

Very nice. Loved the pool pic! What a spot to just jump in with mask on......oh yeah, and fish too.

Been on Minni yet? I unfortunately have not, and probably will not. There's always next year I suppose. Funny how life gets in the way of living sometimes.

Great pics man. Hows it been going? I was going to go on a trip to the island this year but nothing was ready. Next year. Just getting ready for hunting season..should be a good one! Have you tried 'the lake' yet this year? Me and ron were getting some real nice perch a month or 2 ago. Ralph caught a beauty one night, had to be 12.5-13 inches. Some nice rainbows too, lots and I mean lots in the 16-18 inch range. Lots of fun! Its suprised me how well it has turned out. Take care.

Yup, all pics are from the island, BRL.

Hi TreeGuy; no I haven't been on Minnie this year. I have been focusing mostly on streams this season, lot's of fun, so far. I think the only real lake fishing I've done was at Maligne, but that's a must do at least once or more per season . Hope you're gettin' out there at least a few times, despite life gettin' in the way at times .

Hey Octane; good to hear from you, man, been awhile!! No I haven't been out to "the" lake, but I am happy to hear you guys are again doing well there, and for both species!! That's pretty cool, maybe I'll have to swing by there sometime soon.....Hope you're doing well, keep in touch.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Ayr.
