I think Dallas, Colorado, Rangers, Carolina, and Florida will be hard to beat.

Feel Florida gets an edge as Rangers and Carolina have to play each other and Edmonton and Vancouver get lucky that, assuming Dallas advances, they don't have to play them or Colorado.

Colorado is home cooling out and healing up all while hoping for Dallas and LV to go the distance and beat each other up, just like we hope Nashville and the Nucks go the distance

Almost half a game in and Boston has 1 shot on goal. If they score on their second, they’ll still win though.

The Bruins are choking again, they just can't close out a series, unreal, I really hate to say it but full credit to the Leaf's

Game 7 Saturday night, what the playoffs are all about

The Bruins were not as good as their standing at the end of the season implied. Once again the big lie of the overtime loss point shows itself. 15 extra points during the regular season for losing 15 games. The reality is they only had 1 more win than the Leafs and the Leafs scored 36 more goals

They don’t have the luxury of playing to a tie in regulation and salvaging a point in overtime

Seems a bit strong. Leafs had 10 loser points, so out of a total possible 164 pts, we're talking about a difference of 5 pts, or 3%. Yup, Leafs outscored the Bruins but they also let in 39 more goals. Regardless of how you look at it, loser point or not, they are two pretty evenly matched teams, with a regular season goal differential difference of 3, so that's why it's going to Game 7.

I guess my point was. Many figured the Bruins would dominate the Leafs but the reality is they are evenly matched and on paper only one win apart in the regular season.

The effort Nylander exhibited on that last goal was something else!

Anyone else think it's goofy that the 2nd round starts before the 1st round ends?

Without watching the game (saw two last minutes of the third and it was a great save by Swayman in the last second, literally, of the period), the game was as equal as they come, giveaways aside:

Just a scheduling issue, the games were backed up to Sunday / Tuesday as the Nicks have MSG on Monday / Wednesday night to start the NBA conference final

Doesn't bother me at all that they are out, after today we won't have to listen to those insufferable announcers on Roger's Sports Net going on and on about the Leaf's as if they are the center of the hockey universe.

Kind of like Oilers’ fans on here, no?

Feel bad for Winnipeg, 110 points and get the 107 point Avalanche in the first round while Oilers get the 99 point Kings. NHL has to address the playoff format. Make it a 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7 etc.

I don’t see anything wrong with it. If they can’t beat em in the first round, most likely can’t beat em in the second round either.
Only thing that matters in playoff hockey is the final round…….
