Default Elite or Mathews

Want to invest in a good bow and cannot find a place that I can check out the elite compounds. Anyone have thoughts between the two?

Thanks.

I think Trophy Book Archery has both brands if near that area in Edmonton. Red Deer Archery if you are closer to there, all depends on your location or willing to drive.

I gave them a call and they do not carry the elite, only Mathews so no way to shoot both and compare which is unfortunate.

I haven't shot the Elite but I changed from PSE thunderbolt to a Matthews z7 Extreme and absolutely love it.

The answer is a nice bow. If I was buying a new hunting bow, that would be it. My pure shoots too nice to give up though. Red Deer will treat you well. They carry both brands.

A good thing about the elite answer is that it is very forgiving and very smooth with a good speed too, and it is 33 1/2 axle to axle which I like but if you wanted a shorter axle to axle bow made by elite, the elite hunter is a great bow too, good for tree stands and ground blinds I believe it's closer to 31 inches axle to axle

The are both great bows...I find the Mathews a lot easier to tune and maintain..

But you cant go wrong with either..
