Question Hermitage

Anyone seen anything at hermitage? I've called and the best answer I could get was the plans to stock are for the end of may/early june but no hard dates.
Would they have winter killed or is it worth checking out yet? Thanks.

I am heading out to Hasse, Muir and Beaumont in the next few days....I will post any pics if I catch anything.... in the mean time here is one that I caught last year at the private summerside beach club just south of Ellerslie road... Summer side has a great stocked trout pond.... they only thing is that you have to be a resident or be with one who has a lake access card. Just a little one....but still worth it.

lol...........my best friend and her man have a house in summerside....the poor bugger had been fishing that lake all summer and nothing.... I fish it for one hour and caught this bow....hehehe

if eden is a private lake why is it still in the regs as being stocked by the alberta ministries. why should tax payers pay to stock a private lake.

Lake Eden is not in the 2007 stocking report nor is it listed in the ponds the ACA is involved with. You're probably thinking of Edith Lake.

Cheers,
Doc

Eden hasn't been stocked for at least 3 years or longer.

Here's a fish I pulled out of Muir last Sunday.

Slow fishing but when you get one they're big! Please excuse the hat... it happens to be lucky.

Garrick.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried Chickakoo lake this season, I've been there this last weekend Saturday, got there at around 6 am , fished till 8 or 9 am haven't had a single bite and haven't seen a single rise,
seems strange apparently it has been already stocked,
anyone else has any idea whats going on with that lake ?

Sauer and Chickakoo are due on May 22.There are a few fish that did make it through the winter.

Leduc is listed but may not be stocked this year.low oxygen levels.

When heading west on 16, exit the highway as if heading to the town of Wabamun but instead of turning left (south), you want to turn right (north). The lake is on the west side of the road when heading north. Look for the signs. For more directions to local Edm trout lakes you can look here...

Edmonton Lakes

Cheers,
Doc

The Vegreville Trout pond south of town is fun for kids now. They stocked a couple weeks ago. Got 5 pan size for the kids to chow down on. I know there are larger fish in the centre but we don't have a boat. We caught them on elk hair caddis and floating ant.

Muir lake - Take Yellowhead West to Campsite Road(2nd overpass access to Spruce Grove), take a North(right) on that overpass all the way to Township road 540 (7 kms or so). Take a left on twp 540 and you will come right to Muir Lake on the left as 540 turns into RR 275.
No gas motors or bait allowed..Good Luck John !

The vegreville reservior had winter kill this year. Went ice fishing with a camera and saw some dead ones on the bottom.

When they use to aerate it, the pond held some nice ones in the 20" range. It was not aerated this year.

To make it simple for you - just continue on Hwy 37. At Calahoo go south on Range Road 275. If you don't make the hard left turn after 6 miles you will be up to your axles in the lake . Make that turn and an immediate right into the parking lot.

Please use the parking lot - lately there have been a lot of people parking down by the launch area and blocking the road. Will have to get the county to replace the "No Parking" signs.

Tight Lines...
